Conversational Approaches to Development Education

How can we facilitate learners to really engage with global justice issues? How can we create conversations that really facilitate change and learning in our Dev Ed practice? What are the conditions we need to create for the best learning to take place?

These are some of the questions this one-day training seeks to answer. We will introduce and practice a number of different ways in which conversations may be hosted. We will consider when and why these methods can be used.

This one-day event is an introduction to some of the core practices and methods used in Art of Hosting, a presentation of the concepts that underpin it and an exploration of their use in our practice as development educators.
